PETA MAREE POGUE
Founder
Peta Maree Pogue is the founder of Pogue Energy Law PLLC. Prior to founding the firm, she served as General Counsel of Murchison Oil & Gas, where she oversaw the company’s operations, refinancing, and successful exit in 2024. She also previously worked as an in-house landman at XTO Energy.
Her experience spans acquisitions and divestitures, litigation management, commercial contracting, insurance, human resources, operational legal support, regulatory compliance, debt and equity structuring, governance, and investor relations. Her career reflects disciplined execution, high performance under pressure, and a practical understanding of how oil and gas companies operate form the ground up.
Mrs. Pogue earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Texas. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management, with a minor in Finance, from the University of Oklahoma, where she attended on a full tennis scholarship and competed on the University’s Varsity Women’s Tennis Team.
